How has joining the Phantom Thieves changed you and the way that you view the world? Is there anything that you regret, or something you wish you could tell yourself before learning the truth?

This country is really messed up and I'm gonna have to work way harder than I thought to try to fix it.

Do you believe that the Phantom Thieves can achieve that? That they can change the hearts of the corrupt for the better and "fix" things?

For many of us it's the only power we have to make change. It was given for a reason, so we have to grasp the opportunity we have.

But I have to wonder if that will be enough, and if that sort of justice will be well received.
I worry about the ripples our actions might have, given how things are. They might be small now,
but there is no telling how they might grow.

I assume this is who I think it is.
[ That's really narrowing it down, Celeste. ]

From what I saw so far after joining, I realized that there is much more corruption around us not just to me and my loved ones. To be honest, I had some doubts regarding our group's mission on my first day.

I understand. I have my doubts as well, but I assumed that that would be unwelcome. I'm glad to know that I am not alone in this sentiment.
Tell me, how long did it take before that feeling passed? Did it?

It only took me 4 days to absorb everything I learned after my induction. Though, I did have some lingering feelings of unease and worry about the current state of politics.
I'M SO SORRY work has been riding me this week

I'm impressed. Even with my own opinions on the world at large, I doubt I would be able to do something like that in such a short amount of time. Do you have any advice?
That's okay! :)

I guess I have to keep my open mind about everything. Though, I also have to remember the facts and the current events. I learned that the hard way years ago.

What do you mean, the hard way?

That I wasn't the only one suffering. Okay, that's kind of a selfish mindset, but until then I felt alone in my anger and pain - that everyone else was fine with a broken system or that somehow my dad was just singled out for it.

What happened to your father, if you don't mind me asking?

You know that Dockworker strike a few years ago that ended as a brawl? My dad was one of the workers, but he didn't hit or hurt anyone, let alone a cop - he was trying to drag one of his friends out of the fight.
but the DA basically told a bunch of people they'll get leniency if they said dad was attacking the cops. So he's in prison for something he never did.
tl;dr work ate my face. my whole face.

I remember hearing about that. I didn't realize that the DA agreed to a deal like that. I'm so sorry.

He's probably not the only one who got strung up by ridiculous deals. If anyone knew my dad, they'd realize it's a farce, he's a pacifist to the extreme. But the DA's not even looking to do anything to make up for what they done.

I see. When will he be released?

It's a little sad to know that not everybody is a good person at heart. I used to think that, and that everyone could get along if they just talked things out. I guess realizing that's not true must be part of growing up.

Something like that would be nice, but sometimes a little bit of conflict is good. It shows us what is important to us, and to others.

I guess so. Even if you try to talk things out, some people will always disagree.

Unfortunately, there are those who hold so tightly to their ideals that they refuse to see any other way but their own. I have known many people like that, and there is little that you can do to change their minds outside of using force.

You might say that.
