How has joining the Phantom Thieves changed you and the way that you view the world? Is there anything that you regret, or something you wish you could tell yourself before learning the truth?

Was in the middle of a protest and wasn't backing down. A cop pepper sprayed me in the face and I fell down. Got kicked from all sides, cuffed, and thrown in the back of a car. Spent the night in jail before my friends got me out on bail, no charges but they broke two ribs. Obviously nothing happened to the cops, I guess there were three of 'em on me. Don't remember it too well, I blacked out during the kicks.

Disorderly conduct. They have partial immunity as long as they can justify it as protecting the peace.

Eh, even without it cops'll protect their people. They can literally get away with murder.

But there has to be a reason, even if it happens to fabricated or falsified. If you control the narrative, you control the people's perceptions of the world.

I'm sure they have something in their paperwork but I dunno. Didn't even get cited.

From what you've told me, I'm not surprised.
When my father speaks about protests, it was always with disdain. That if those people protesting were truly peaceful, then they would not break out into violence as they sometimes do. That is the narrative, whether it's true or not.

Yeah, typical. Usually when things get violent, at least 50/50 the group being protested it started it. But you'll get people who think you need to make a ruckus to be heard too. I can see their point. We're still less rowdy than your average college football win celebration.
