How has joining the Phantom Thieves changed you and the way that you view the world? Is there anything that you regret, or something you wish you could tell yourself before learning the truth?
[ Don't mind her, she might be trying to work through some Things. ]

For many of us it's the only power we have to make change. It was given for a reason, so we have to grasp the opportunity we have.

But I have to wonder if that will be enough, and if that sort of justice will be well received.
I worry about the ripples our actions might have, given how things are. They might be small now,
but there is no telling how they might grow.

I assume this is who I think it is.
[ That's really narrowing it down, Celeste. ]

Thanks for ruining the suspense.

I'm a poli-sci major, you want suspense talk to the drama kids.

I'll make sure to ask them about it the next time I come to visit, on your recommendation.
I thought I would let you know, since I imagine it won't go public for a few weeks. Prosecutor Phelps resigned this morning. He asked me to submit the letter for him, and has been conveniently absent for comments or questioning.

We can change hearts but we can't necessarily make people less fucking lazy.

I had my doubts, when you called me out there yesterday. Why did you give me that note? I could have tipped him off. I could have brought my phone with me. He would have been able to hear everything.

I had reason to believe you wouldn't. Looks like I was right.

What reason would you have to trust someone like me?

Your face was that of someone trying to find a way to fight for her justice.
Also I was kind of afraid you were going to physically vomit on me when you tried the sexy favor routine.

You said that to me then, too. I'm not sure what you mean by "my justice." The only justice I've known is what has been championed by men like Phelps and my father. All I wanted to do was try to prevent another person from being targeted just for living.

I'm sorry, that happens to me sometimes when I'm around arrogant jerks. I'm sure you understand.

When we Phantom Thieves talk about our justice, we mean our own personal sense of right and wrong and what we are willing to do to achieve it. Most of us define our justice as something that can't permit all this bad shit to continue.
And hey, don't blame me for your own self-loathing. Make better life decisions next time.

I'm not sure yet myself. Not letting men like those corrupt officials from the DA and the PD continue to prey upon those who can't or won't fight back is a start, but I don't think a beast that large is something I or any of us can handle as we are. But I suppose I can start somewhere.
It shouldn't come from me, and I doubt that it means anything now, but I'm sorry.

Progress is slow and hard. You have to claw and fight for equality, for recognition, for life, sometimes. And you may never get it in your life time. What we're fighting for, we're fighting for change, and it's bigger than you, or me, or even this whole LA group. But if we don't do it, who will? So yes, it's a start. We may not be able to finish the job in our lifetime, but we need to keep pushing forward anyway.
Anyway, you don't need to apologize. You were in a shitty situation, but you aren't there anymore and that's what's important.

You would make a good leader. Has anyone told you that? Someone needs to look out for this little rag-tag group of ours, after all.

That's high praise, especially from you. I hadn't really thought about it like that. I'm just a bit more experienced so I try to help out.

Is it? I was only making a casual observation.
[ Liar. ]
Sometimes all it takes to inspire others to act on their anger and passion is the help and support of others. There is strength in numbers.

It's something I test at least once a month. Numbers can only take you so far though, unfortunately.
