How has joining the Phantom Thieves changed you and the way that you view the world? Is there anything that you regret, or something you wish you could tell yourself before learning the truth?

I had reason to believe you wouldn't. Looks like I was right.

Your face was that of someone trying to find a way to fight for her justice.

Also I was kind of afraid you were going to physically vomit on me when you tried the sexy favor routine.

When we Phantom Thieves talk about our justice, we mean our own personal sense of right and wrong and what we are willing to do to achieve it. Most of us define our justice as something that can't permit all this bad shit to continue.

And hey, don't blame me for your own self-loathing. Make better life decisions next time.

Progress is slow and hard. You have to claw and fight for equality, for recognition, for life, sometimes. And you may never get it in your life time. What we're fighting for, we're fighting for change, and it's bigger than you, or me, or even this whole LA group. But if we don't do it, who will? So yes, it's a start. We may not be able to finish the job in our lifetime, but we need to keep pushing forward anyway.

Anyway, you don't need to apologize. You were in a shitty situation, but you aren't there anymore and that's what's important.

That's high praise, especially from you. I hadn't really thought about it like that. I'm just a bit more experienced so I try to help out.

It's something I test at least once a month. Numbers can only take you so far though, unfortunately.

Life of a political activist. You show up and protest regularly, and usually get a face full of pepper spray for your trouble.

Want to see my medical bill from the time the cops broke my ribs and arrested me?

Was in the middle of a protest and wasn't backing down. A cop pepper sprayed me in the face and I fell down. Got kicked from all sides, cuffed, and thrown in the back of a car. Spent the night in jail before my friends got me out on bail, no charges but they broke two ribs. Obviously nothing happened to the cops, I guess there were three of 'em on me. Don't remember it too well, I blacked out during the kicks.

Eh, even without it cops'll protect their people. They can literally get away with murder.

I'm sure they have something in their paperwork but I dunno. Didn't even get cited.

Yeah, typical. Usually when things get violent, at least 50/50 the group being protested it started it. But you'll get people who think you need to make a ruckus to be heard too. I can see their point. We're still less rowdy than your average college football win celebration.
