[At night, a bar, backdated to the day after valentines]
While many people are out having couples' day after dinner, or doing slam poetry and burning teddy bears from regrettable exes, Kyle is taking advantage of the fact the bar being less crowded than usual - usually this place would be packed with UCLA students - a frustrating thing for him as he discovered this is one of the few bars that did decent cocktails that didn't charge an arm and a leg for it. He had his burner phone out, waiting to see if the Phantom had any news about their excursion, he sure hope playing nice to the bigot did help, or otherwise he made his own skin crawl for nothing.
Well, the peaceful atmosphere didn't last for long - as someone... worse someone he recognizes from work started to get belligerent about getting cut off. So much for enjoying his mint julep, he groans, and starts to push himself off the bar to stop it. "Franklin - knock it off! You can barely stand straight."
For a moment, it looked like the much larger man was ready to take a swing, but upon recognizing him, he mutters and protests, dropping his arm. "They're not being respectful, Kiske." The man gestures, and Kyle immediately took advantage of this momentary lapse to drag the man out, calling out to the bartender to call a taxi service.
"I'm so sorry," The officer mutters to the bartender once he returned from taking Franklin outside, his hand going over his face as he feels a lot of eyes staring at him. "Another drink, and here's a twenty for the trouble..." So much for having a low key night out.

"Not immediately... but I'm Vice, missing persons is incidental for my department." The blond answers honestly. "But if there's a name, I might see what might be in the files."

He sighs as he sets his hand onto his forehead, elbow resting on the bar as he keeps looking at the picture intently.
"She's a very successful fashion designer, starting her fame overseas and was planning on living here to work. She's engaged to another man back at home, but both himself and his family claim they know nothing about her disappearance! I swear, it's an insult to our great fam-!"
Takamichi sits back up, catching himself before he ends up in a rant. Nobody wants to hear that, especially customers.
"I apologize. Our family name means nothing here, but we are a strong family with wealth earned by hard work back in Japan. Our grief is slowly poisoning us because this has happened."

"It's all right, I can't imagine the stress of a missing sister has on a person." Kyle reassured him. "I can't guarantee anything, but I will see if she's in the database."

"It's a strange situation, but I appreciate any help I could get right now. It felt like... My family was being watched after she disappeared. I can't really understand it."

He takes the empty glass away, discarding any leftover contents before setting it aside for cleaning.
"It's not a case of ransom as the culprit left no message or warnings. Private investigators come up with nothing when they travel over here. It's clear that something else is going on."
