[At night, a bar, backdated to the day after valentines]

While many people are out having couples' day after dinner, or doing slam poetry and burning teddy bears from regrettable exes, Kyle is taking advantage of the fact the bar being less crowded than usual - usually this place would be packed with UCLA students - a frustrating thing for him as he discovered this is one of the few bars that did decent cocktails that didn't charge an arm and a leg for it. He had his burner phone out, waiting to see if the Phantom had any news about their excursion, he sure hope playing nice to the bigot did help, or otherwise he made his own skin crawl for nothing.

Well, the peaceful atmosphere didn't last for long - as someone... worse someone he recognizes from work started to get belligerent about getting cut off. So much for enjoying his mint julep, he groans, and starts to push himself off the bar to stop it. "Franklin - knock it off! You can barely stand straight."

For a moment, it looked like the much larger man was ready to take a swing, but upon recognizing him, he mutters and protests, dropping his arm. "They're not being respectful, Kiske." The man gestures, and Kyle immediately took advantage of this momentary lapse to drag the man out, calling out to the bartender to call a taxi service.

"I'm so sorry," The officer mutters to the bartender once he returned from taking Franklin outside, his hand going over his face as he feels a lot of eyes staring at him. "Another drink, and here's a twenty for the trouble..." So much for having a low key night out.

Another work night, thankfully more quiet. Takamichi is working among three other bartenders at the bar, himself and another behind the bar while the other two do floor service. There is also the boss nearby, chatting the regular visitors and usual bouncers. He already cut a few people off, but one seems to be asking each bartender for a drink despite refusal. He was quick to pull his co-worker out of the way when he saw an arm with a fist up in the air, but a sigh of relief escaped from him as another man stopped in time. Takamichi watched the two leave the bar before letting go of his co-worker, who is only a few years younger than him. "Go call a taxi and take a small break, Jason."

"R-Right. Thanks, Taka..." The younger bartender went straight to the phone and Takamichi nods to Kyle when he returned.

"Thank you. I'll get your drink ready." he sighs as he grabs a clean glass. "A friend of yours?"
