Hana had been pretty busy after the Palace and movie drama, but in between her school work, studying, and movie, she was still actively playing games when she could. After all, she couldn't skirmish as much as she'd like, but she was still on an esport team which meant she could allow herself to get too sloppy. Her work load had lightened considerably thanks to her uncle confessing his crimes, but she still had to be careful with how she spent her time. Thankfully she was prepared when it was time to hit the stage and join her team.

A few days before her match was going to start, she had already sent some of her friends she'd made and some of the other Phantom Thieves a simple message stating,

"Hey noobs, come and watch me kick some ass and chew some bubble gum. You can find the stream on Twitch.

I hope you guys can cheer me on.

XOXO D.VA"

But man, she'd never get over the joy walking on the catwalk towards her seat. Once the camera focused on her (and she noticed after putting her headset on), she glanced up with a cheeky grin, making a heart gesture before break it and shrugging it off to the side before it went onto her teammate.

After the Match ;

It was a hard fought win -- and while her opposing team put up a fight -- they came out the victor with a 3-1 win. It was just so satisfying to come back from the first round being such a mess. But after dealing with shaking the other teams' hands and dealing with others coming up to talk with her, she soon went to join any friend who may have been there or teammates still hanging around (that could understand her English well enough anyways.) Otherwise, she'll be texting the others.

This what you did out in Korea? I never knew there was such a huge draw to this kind of thing.

Yep! I started as a normal gamer who liked to stream and then I was scouted.

That's pretty wild. And you can make a career out of it? Does it pay pretty good? How long do you have to play to get that good?

Yeah. The moment I came to California for the movie, they caught wind that I'd moved here and immediately contacted me to join their team. I wasn't expecting it, but I love doing it so.

It pays pretty well. On top of the salary for the movie, I'm doing pretty good. I've been playing for a long time, but it didn't take too long to get adjusted to it.

You're in a lot better shape than a lot of us poor students, that's for sure. You still living with your uncle or did you get your own place? Sounds like you could afford it easy.

What can I say? I'm lucky to get this far.

The fact I was able to make it a job is huge accomplishment for me. I had to work hard to get where I am. I'm currently living in the same apartment, but I've been living on my own. He was paying for it, but I'm paying for my rent since I have the money for it.

Not really... Not right now anyways. I'm sure he's trying but... It's still... too fresh.

Makes sense. I can't promise it gets better, but it's good to know.

I know. I just need some time to get over it.

Yeah. I'll be okay. I'll contact him when things have sort of passed. He seems sorry for he did at the very least.

That means it worked, for whatever that's worth. It should free up a bit of time though, right? You can focus on doing the stuff you wanna do and not what he wants you to do.
